It can potentially. Something random that comes to my mind would be different makeup and costumes, split equally along with the colors on screen or effects, even the different styling of captions etc

The subtle personality changes, cadence, tone etc would go a long way too

Thank you! I like it :)

And...how about for a live performance -- not on a screen, but on a stage? Do you think the style of this video (with the lighting) would work for a live performance? If not, how would you adapt Faces of X for a performance?

You're welcome. Umm.. for live performance i'm thinking about incorporating the above too, but with stage design/modular elements, rotating stuff? as in different elements in the background split equally, but there would be elements of design overshadowing the performance so needs to be balanced with lightning, placement etc(one could also place opposing elements behind respective split-I'm thinking about yin and yang), like different graphics/designs, sound design/direction, lights, "theatrics"., i guess tapping into multi sensory engagement but that would have "externalities"😅

Of course i would be sensitive of the cost elements too.

I guess audience engagement and questionnaire, be it live or curated to steer conversation in a particular direction-unscripted(but that will relate to "realities and inner biases" of the audience), voting.

Different themes/performances involving different depictions/actors/stakeholders can be incorporated too while the presenter reflects and comments based on "which side of the makeup is talking", then letting the conflicting makeup side respond, show "cringe" where necessary while being playful.

The final act could be "dismantling the makeup" with 3rd/4th person view and going for call to action

Ooh this can also be coupled with immersion/xr and guaging audience feedback before, during and after the different acts and document those? Then maybe post act consolidation efforts to invite people to empathetic dialogue from different extremes or creating a nurturing environment.

Haha I'm done ranting but i would definitely sign up for this in front row. Too bad I'm far away in a distant land 🤣🥲

P.s

No black white please

Wow, thank you for your ideas! Immersion/xr would be amazing. Where is this distant land you're from?
